Parental Control, your TV management ally
Helix TV gives you access to a multitude of content and viewing options. As a parent, if you’re worried about how your children will use all these options, don’t worry. The Parental Control have easy-to-use tools that you can set to your preferences. For example, you can:
- Set a schedule for when terminals can be used.
- Lock specific content, channels and apps.
- Set a PIN to prevent the purchase of On Demand content.

Activating and setting up Helix TV Parental Control
Say “Parental Control”
Are you a Helix TV subscriber? Use the “Parental Control” voice command to set access limits for TV content. See other handy voice commands.
- Press the HELIX button on your voice remote.
- Select
(Settings). - Select Parental Control.
- Choose the desired level of Parental Control to apply restrictions as needed.
Choose a Parental Control PIN.
Important : Be sure to choose a PIN that you can easily remember, as it will be required for future configurations or to access restricted content.- Browse other possible configurations, if desired, for example Day and Time Lock to block access to all content according to the desired schedule.
NOTE: some features are only visible when the Parental Control is activated.
Set up the Parental Control PIN individually for each Helix TV terminal and each device that uses the Helix TV app. On your mobile devices, open the app and tap 
(Settings) icon in the top left corner. Then tap Parental Control to activate it and set a PIN to restrict access to certain content.
Good to know
Hide adult content on Helix TV
The choice of whether or not to display titles, images and descriptions of adult content that may be explicit is easily done through the Parental Control.
- Press the HELIX button on your voice remote.
- Select (Settings), then Parental Control.
- Enable the Medium Safety level or another higher level.
- Lock the Adult category in the TV Rating Locks section.
NOTE: If you have not yet set up Parental Control, you will be asked to create your PIN.
Temporarily display adult content
If you want to temporarily access the adult content section and make sure that Parental Control will be reactivated afterwards, you can simply suspend it for a specified time.
- Press the HELIX button on your voice remote.
- Select (Settings), then Parental Control.
- Select Snooze PIN.
- Choose the time of suspension: 1 hour, 2 hours or 4 hours.
Enable the Purchase PIN on Helix TV
To prevent making purchases by mistake or on a whim, set a Purchase PIN. When this feature is enabled, a four-digit code is required to buy On Demand or Pay Per View content.
- Press the HELIX button on your voice remote.
- Select (Settings).
- Select Purchase PIN.
To set up your PIN, enable the Purchase PIN option and choose a four-digit number.
Important : This PIN can be the same as the Parental Control PIN. Do not use 0000, but choose a PIN that is easy to remember, as it will be required to order paid content.- Enter your new PIN and re-enter it to confirm.
- Press Exit to go back to the TV or the Back arrow to go back to Settings.

In addition to locking by age group, it is possible to block a specific channel.
The option is not displayed if Parental Control is not activated.
- Press the Guide button on your voice remote.
- Browse in the first column on the left using the
and 
arrows to the channel you want to lock and press the 
(Info) button. - Select Lock.
- Enter your Parental Control PIN to activate the lock.
